§ 120‑276.  (Effectiveuntil June 30, 2015) Membership; terms.

(a)        Membership. – TheCommission shall be composed of 12 members as follows:

(1)        Five members of theHouse of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House.

(2)        Five members of theSenate appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.

(3)        The Senate and Housecochairs of the Joint Legislative Transportation Oversight Committee, or theirdesignees, shall serve as ex officio members.

(b)        Terms. – Members ofthe Commission shall serve two‑year terms, beginning July 1 of each odd‑numberedyear. Members shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority. Membersmay complete a term of service on the Commission even if they do not seekreelection or are not reelected to the General Assembly, but resignation orremoval from service in the General Assembly constitutes resignation or removalfrom the Commission.

(c)        Vacancies. –Vacancies on the Commission shall be filled by the appointing authority. (2006‑261, s. 5.)
