§ 120C‑215.  Otherpersons required to register.

(a)        A person nototherwise required to register under this Chapter shall register and reportwhen the total expense incurred for solicitation of others exceeds threethousand dollars ($3,000) during any 90‑day period. Expenses incurredshall mean the costs of producing and transmitting the communication and, ifthe communication is made at a conference, meeting, or similar event, the costsof planning, hosting, sponsoring, and attending the conference, meeting, orsimilar event.

(b)        A person requiredto register and report under this section shall be referred to as a"solicitor" for purposes of this Chapter.

(c)        No fee shall becharged for registering as a solicitor.

(d)        For purposes ofthis section, "incur" means the point at which a binding obligationarises. (2006‑201,s. 18; 2007‑348, s. 11.)
