§ 127A‑179. Limitations.

Nothing in this Compact shall:

(1)        Expand or add to thefunctions of the National Guard, except with respect to the jurisdictionswithin [which] such functions may be performed;

(2)        Authorize or permitNational Guard units to be placed under the field command of any person nothaving the military or National Guard rank or status required by law for thefield command position in question.  (1969, c. 674, s. 1; 1975, c. 604, s. 2; 2009‑281,s. 1.)
