§ 130A-325. Prohibited acts.

§130A‑325.  Prohibited acts.

The following acts areprohibited:

(1)        Failure by asupplier of water to comply with this Article, an order issued under thisArticle, or the drinking water rules;

(2)        Failure by asupplier of water to comply with the requirements of G.S. 130A‑324 or thedissemination by a supplier of any false or misleading information with respectto remedial actions being undertaken to achieve compliance with the drinkingwater rules;

(3)        Refusal by asupplier of water to allow the Department or local health department to inspecta public water system as provided for in G.S. 130A‑17;

(4)        The willful defilingby any person of any water supply of a public water system or the willfuldamaging of any pipe or other part of a public water system;

(5)        The discharge by anyperson of sewage or other waste above the intake of a public water system,unless the sewage or waste has been passed through a system of purificationapproved by the Department ; and

(6)        The failure by aperson to maintain a system approved by the Department for collecting anddisposing of all accumulations of human excrement located on the watershed of apublic water system. (1979, c. 788, s. 1; 1983, c. 891, s. 2; 1985, c. 462,s. 2; 1989, c. 727, s. 146.)
