§ 131E‑116. Definitions.

As used in this Part, unless otherwise specified:

(1)        "Administrator" means an administrator of afacility.

(1a)      "Commission" means the North Carolina Medical CareCommission.

(2)        "Facility" means a nursing home and a home for theaged or disabled licensed pursuant to G.S. 131E‑102, and also means anursing home operated by a hospital which is licensed under Article 5 of G.S.Chapter 131E.

(3)        "Patient" means a person who has been admitted toa facility.

(4)        "Representative payee" means a person certified bythe federal government to receive and disburse benefits for a recipient ofgovernmental assistance. (1977, c. 897, s. 1; 1983, c. 143, s. 1, c. 775, s. 1; 1993, c. 499, s.1.)
