§135‑31.  Split referendums.

The provisions of this Articleshall be construed as authorization for the State or political subdivisions orinstrumentalities of government which have not heretofore secured socialsecurity coverage, and which are otherwise authorized to secure such coverage,to hold any type of referendum with respect thereto which federal law now orhereafter may authorize, and not be restricted to the types of referendumsauthorized by federal law at the time of the original enactment of thisArticle.
