§136‑155.  Availability of federal aid funds.

The Department ofTransportation shall not be required to expend any funds for the regulation ofjunkyards under this Article, nor shall the provisions of this Article, withthe exception of G.S. 136‑152 hereof, have any force and effect untilfederal funds are made available to the State for the purpose of carrying outthe provisions of this Article, and the Department of Transportation hasentered into an agreement with the United States Secretary of Transportation asauthorized by G.S. 136‑152 hereof and as provided by the HighwayBeautification Act of 1965 or subsequent amendment thereto.
