§136‑41.2A.  Eligibility for funds; municipalities incorporated beforeJanuary 1, 1945.

(a)        No municipalityshall be eligible to receive funds under G.S. 136‑41.1 unless it has beenwithin the four‑year period next preceding the annual allocation of fundsconducted an election for the purpose of electing municipal officials andcurrently imposes an ad valorem tax or provides other funds for the generaloperating expenses of the municipality.

(b)        The provisions ofthis section apply only to municipalities incorporated prior to January 1,1945. (1985 (Reg. Sess., 1986), c. 934, s. 4.)
