§ 138A‑40.  Employmentand supervision of members of covered person's or legislative employee'sextended family.

A covered person orlegislative employee shall not cause the employment, appointment, promotion,transfer, or advancement of an extended family member of the covered person orlegislative employee to a State office, or a position to which the coveredperson or legislative employee supervises or manages, except for positions atthe General Assembly as permitted under G.S. 120‑32(2). A public servantor legislative employee shall not supervise, manage, or participate in anaction relating to the discipline of a member of the public servant's orlegislative employee's extended family, except as specifically authorized bythe public servant's or legislative employee's employing entity.
