Settlement of Affairs of Certain Inoperative Boardsand Agencies.

§ 143‑267.  Release and payment of funds toState Treasurer; delivery of other assets to Secretary of Administration.

Whenever the statutes creating, or granting authority to, anylicensing, regulatory, or examining board or agency have been or are hereafterrepealed, or declared unconstitutional or invalid by the Supreme Court of NorthCarolina, every officer or other person responsible for or having control orcustody of any funds, records, equipment or any other assets held or owned byany such board or agency which was theretofore authorized by any such statuteto exercise licensing or regulatory powers or conduct examinations in respectto the right to practice any profession or engage in any trade, business, craftor calling, shall forthwith release and deliver all such funds to the StateTreasurer of North Carolina, and shall forthwith release and deliver all otherassets of every nature whatsoever to the Secretary of Administration for theState of North Carolina.
