§ 143‑300.7. Defense of medical contractors.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Article, any person orprofessional association who at the request of the Department of Correctionprovides medical and dental services to inmates in the custody of theDepartment of Correction and who is sued pursuant to the Federal Civil RightsAct of 1871 may be defended by the Attorney General and shall be protected fromliability for violations of civil rights in accordance with the provisions ofthis Article.
