§ 143‑59.3.  Contracts for the purchase ofreconstituted or recombined fluid milk products prohibited.

(a)        As used in this section, "fluid milk product" hasthe same meaning as in 7 Code of Federal Regulations § 1000.15 (1 January 2003Edition).

(b)        No department, institution, or agency of the State shallenter into any contract for the purchase of any fluid milk product that islabeled or that is required to be labeled as "reconstituted" or"recombined".

(c)        The Secretary of Administration may temporarily suspend theprovisions of subsection (b) of this section in case of any emergency orpressing need as provided in G.S. 143‑57. (2003‑367, s. 1.)
