§ 143B‑139.5B. Department of Health and Human Services provision for joint training.
The Department of Health andHuman Services shall offer joint training of Division of Health ServiceRegulation consultants, county DSS adult home specialists, and adult care homeproviders. The training shall be offered no fewer than two times per year, andsubject matter of the training should be based on one or more of the 10deficiencies cited most frequently in the State during the immediatelypreceding calendar year. The joint training shall be designed to reduceinconsistencies experienced by providers in the survey process, to increaseobjectivity by DHSR consultants and DSS specialists in conducting surveys, andto promote a higher degree of understanding between facility staff and DHSRconsultants and DSS specialists in what is expected during the survey process.
