§ 143B‑300. WaterPollution Control System Operators Certification Commission creation; powersand duties.
(a) There is herebycreated the Water Pollution Control System Operators Certification Commissionto be located in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. TheCommission shall adopt rules with respect to the certification of waterpollution control system operators as provided by Article 3 of Chapter 90A ofthe General Statutes.
(b) The Commissionshall adopt such rules, not inconsistent with the laws of this State, as may berequired by the federal government for grants‑in‑aid for programsconcerned with the certification of water pollution control system operatorswhich may be made available to the State by the federal government. Thissection is to be liberally construed in order that the State and its citizensmay benefit from such grants‑in‑aid.
(c) The Commission mayby rule delegate any of its powers, other than the power to adopt rules, to theSecretary of Environment and Natural Resources or the Secretary's designee.
