§ 143B‑472.122. Definitions.

The following definitionsapply to this Part:

(1)        Applicant. – Amember of the family residing in the dwelling unit, the owner, or designatedagent of the owner of a dwelling unit applying for program services.

(2)        Department. – TheDepartment of Commerce.

(3)        Secretary. – TheSecretary of Commerce.

(4)        Subgrantee. – Anentity managing a weatherization project that receives a federal grant of fundsawarded pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 440 (1 January 2006 edition) from this State orother entity named in the Notification of Grant Award and otherwise referred toas the grantee.

(5)        Weatherization. – Themodification of homes and home heating and cooling systems to improve heatingand cooling efficiency by caulking and weather stripping, as well as insulatingceilings, attics, walls, and floors.  (2006‑206, s. 2; 2009‑446, s. 2(a), (b).)
