§146‑39. Void grants; not color of title.
Every entry made and everygrant issued for any lands not authorized by G.S. 146‑1 through 146‑77,as those sections read immediately prior to June 2, 1959, to be entered orgranted shall be void.
Every grant of land issuedsince March 6, 1893, in pursuance of the statutes regulating entries andgrants, shall, if such land or any portion thereof has been heretofore grantedby this State, so far as relates to any such land heretofore granted, beabsolutely void for all purposes whatever, shall confer no rights upon thegrantee therein or those claiming under such grantee, and shall in no case andunder no circumstances constitute any color of title to any person.
