§ 153A‑439.  Support ofextension activities; personnel rules for extension employees.

(a)        A county maysupport the work of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and forthese purposes may appropriate revenues not otherwise limited as to use by law.

(b)        The policiesadopted by the Board of Trustees of North Carolina State University for theemployees of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service shall govern theemployment of employees exempted from certain provisions of Chapter 126 of the GeneralStatutes pursuant to G.S. 126‑5(c1)(9a). The policies adopted by theUniversity of North Carolina Board of Governors and the employing constituentinstitution shall govern the employment of employees of the North CarolinaCooperative Extension Service exempted from certain provisions of Chapter 126of the General Statutes pursuant to G.S. 126‑5(c1)(8).
