§ 153A‑447. Certain counties may appropriate funds to Western North Carolina DevelopmentAssociation, Inc.

(a)        The board of county commissioners of the counties hereafternamed are authorized to appropriate funds to the Western North CarolinaDevelopment Association, Inc., for the public good and welfare of saidcounties. The amount to be expended by each county shall be determined in thediscretion of the board of commissioners.

(b)        This section shall apply to the counties of Avery, Buncombe,Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, McDowell, Macon,Madison, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey. (1979, c. 674, ss. 1, 2.)
