§ 153A‑450. Contracts for construction of satellite campuses of community colleges.

(a)        Boards of county commissioners may enter into contracts forthe construction of satellite campuses of community colleges, to be located intheir counties.

(b)        The board of county commissioners of the county in which asatellite campus of a community college is to be constructed shall submit theplans for the satellite facility's construction to the board of trustees of thecommunity college that will be operating the facility for its approval prior toentering into any contract for the construction of the satellite facility.

(c)        A satellite facility may be used only as a satellitefacility of the community college that operates it and for no other purposeexcept as approved by the board of trustees of the community college that hasbeen assigned the county where the satellite facility is located as a servicedelivery area either by an act of the General Assembly or by the State Board ofCommunity Colleges.
