§ 156‑96.  Failureto pay deemed consent to bond issue.

Every person owning land in the district who shall fail to pay to thetreasurer the full amount for which his land is liable, as aforesaid, withinthe time above specified, shall be deemed as consenting to the issuance ofdrainage bonds, and in consideration of the right to pay his proportion ininstallments, he hereby waives his rights of defense to the payment of anyassessments which may be levied for the payment of bonds, because of anyirregularity, illegality, or defect in the proceedings prior to this time,except in case of an appeal, as hereinbefore provided, which is not affected bythis waiver. The term "person" as used in this Subchapter includesany firm, company, or corporation. (1909, c. 442, s. 33; 1911, c. 67, s. 10; C.S., s. 5353; 1963, c. 767,s. 4.)
