§ 158-8.5. Annual reporting requirement.

§ 158‑8.5.  Annualreporting requirement.

By February 15 of each year,the commissions created pursuant to G.S. 158‑8.1, 158‑8.2, 158‑8.3,and 158‑33 shall publish a report containing the information required bythis section. As a condition on the receipt of State funds, the CharlotteRegional Partnership, Inc., the Piedmont Triad Regional Partnership, and theResearch Triangle Regional Partnership shall, by February 15 of each year,publish a report containing the information required by this section. The commissionsand partnerships shall also submit a copy of the report to the Department ofCommerce, the Office of State Budget and Management, the Joint LegislativeCommission on Governmental Operations, the Joint Legislative EconomicDevelopment Oversight Committee, and the Fiscal Research Division of theGeneral Assembly. The report shall include all of the following:

(1)        A summary of thepreceding year's program activities, objectives, and accomplishments.

(2)        The preceding fiscalyear's itemized expenditures and fund sources. Itemized expenditures shall bereported separately for each fund source.

(3)        A demonstration ofhow the commission's or partnership's regional economic development andmarketing strategy aligns with the State's overall economic development andmarketing strategies.

(4)        A demonstration ofhow the commission's or partnership's involvement in promotion activities hasgenerated leads.

(5)        The most recentaudited annual financial statement regarding State funds.

(6)        A demonstration ofthe commission's efforts to obtain funds from local, private, and federalsources. (2006‑263,s. 1; 2007‑323, s. 13.7(g).)
