§ 159B-45. Dissolution.

§ 159B‑45. Dissolution.

Whenever the governing board of a joint municipal assistance agency andthe governing boards of its member joint agencies or municipalities shall byresolution or ordinance determine that the purposes for which the jointmunicipal assistance agency was formed have been substantially fulfilled andthat all obligations incurred by the joint municipal assistance agency havebeen fully paid or satisfied, the governing board of the joint municipalassistance agency may by resolution declare the joint municipal assistanceagency to be dissolved. On the effective date of such resolution declaring thejoint agency to be dissolved, the title to all funds and other property ownedby the joint municipal assistance agency at the time of such dissolution shallvest in the members of the joint municipal assistance agency as provided inthis Chapter and the bylaws of the joint municipal assistance agency. Notice ofsuch dissolution shall be filed with the Secretary of State. (1983, c. 609, s. 7; 1995, c. 412, s. 25.)
