§ 159I‑27. Inspection.

(a)        The Division shall perform one or more inspections of eachproject and shall monitor its progress.  If the Division determines that theproject is not in substantial compliance with the approved schedule ofimplementation, the Division may revoke its approval of the project, furtherdisbursement of loan proceeds may be rescinded, and the outstanding loan,together with accrued interest, may immediately become due and payable.

(b)        Inspection of a project for which a loan has been made underthis Chapter may be performed by qualified personnel of the Division or byqualified professional engineers, registered in this State, who have beenapproved by the Division.  No person may be approved to perform inspections whois an officer or employee of the unit of local government to which the loan wasmade or who is an owner, officer, employee or agent of a contractor orsubcontractor engaged in the construction of any project for which the loan wasmade.
