§ 160A‑164.2. Criminal history record check ofemployees permitted.
The council may adopt or provide for rules and regulations orordinances concerning a requirement that any applicant for employment besubject to a criminal history record check of State and National Repositoriesof Criminal Histories conducted by the Department of Justice in accordance withG.S. 114‑19.14. The city may consider the results of these criminalhistory record checks in its hiring decisions. (2003‑214, s. 5.)
