§ 160A‑479.2. Jurisdiction of the authority.

(a)        The territorial jurisdiction of any authority createdpursuant to this Part shall be coterminous with the boundaries of therespective units of local government creating and participating in theauthority.

(b)        The jurisdiction of any authority created pursuant to thisPart shall include any and all currently existing public sports facilitiesoperating within its territorial jurisdiction to the extent that any person orgovernmental entity owning or controlling such facilities has reached mutualand written agreement with an authority for the operation and maintenance ofsuch facilities by the authority.

(c)        The jurisdiction of an authority shall also include any andall new public sports facilities within the regional authority's territorialjurisdiction developed specifically for operation and maintenance by anauthority with the agreement of an authority. (1989, c. 780, s. 1.)
