§ 160A‑4.1.  Electronicnotice of new fees and fee increases; public comment period.

(a)        If a city has a Website maintained by one or more of its employees, the city shall provide noticeof the imposition of or increase in fees or charges applicable solely to theconstruction of development subject to the provisions of Part 2 of Article 19of this Chapter on the city's Web site at least seven days prior to the firstmeeting where the imposition of or increase in the fees or charges is on theagenda for consideration.

(b)        During theconsideration of the imposition of or increase in fees or charges as providedin subsection (a) of this section, the governing body of the city shall permita period of public comment.

(c)        This section shallnot apply if the imposition of or increase in fees or charges is contained in abudget filed in accordance with the requirements of G.S. 159‑12.  (2009‑436, s. 2.)
