§ 163‑82.25.  Mandatedvoter registration drive.

The Governor shall proclaim asCitizens Awareness Month the month designated by the State Board of Electionsannually. During that month, the State Board of Elections shall initiate astatewide voter registration drive and shall adopt rules under which countyboards of elections shall conduct the drives. Each county board of electionsshall participate in the statewide voter registration drives and conduct voterregistration and preregistration drives at public high schools in accordancewith local board of education policies, school system administrativeprocedures, and guidelines of the State Board of Elections.  (1991 (Reg.
