§ 20‑104.  Action byDivision on report of stolen or embezzled vehicles.

(a)        The Division, uponreceiving a report of a stolen or embezzled vehicle as hereinbefore provided,shall file and appropriately index the same and shall immediately suspend theregistration of the vehicle so reported, and shall not transfer theregistration of the same until such time as it is notified in writing that suchvehicle has been recovered.

(b)        The Division shallat least once each month compile and maintain at its headquarters office a listof all vehicles which have  been stolen or embezzled or recovered as reportedto it during the preceding month, and such lists shall be open to inspection byany peace officer or other persons interested in any such vehicle.
