§ 20‑137.14.  Enclosed,antique, registered and certain other vehicles exempt.

The provisions of this Partshall not apply to vehicles located on used car lots, in private garages,enclosed parking lots, or on any other parking area on private property whichis not visible from any public street or highway, nor to motor vehiclesclassified as antiques and registered under the laws of the State of NorthCarolina, those not required by law to be registered, or those in possession ofa salvage yard as defined in G.S. 20‑137.7, unless that vehicle presentssome safety or health hazard or constitutes a nuisance.
