§ 20‑190. Uniforms;motor vehicles and arms; expense incurred; color of vehicle.
The Department of CrimeControl and Public Safety shall adopt some distinguishing uniform for themembers of said State Highway Patrol, and furnish each member of the Patrol withan adequate number of said uniforms and each member of said Patrol force whenon duty shall be dressed in said uniform. The Department of Crime Control andPublic Safety shall likewise furnish each member of the Patrol with a suitablemotor vehicle, and necessary arms, and provide for all reasonable expenseincurred by said Patrol while on duty, provided, that not less than eighty‑threepercent (83%) of the number of motor vehicles operated on the highways of theState by members of the State Highway Patrol shall be painted a uniform colorof black and silver.
