§ 20‑297. Retention andinspection of certain records.
(a) Vehicles. Adealer must keep a record of all vehicles received by the dealer and allvehicles sold by the dealer. The records must contain the information that theDivision requires. A dealer may keep and maintain records at the dealershipfacility where the vehicles were sold or at another established office locatedwithin this State provided that the location and the name of a designatedcontact agent are provided to the Division and the records can be madeavailable for inspection by the Division within a reasonable period of timeafter being requested by the Division.
(b) Inspection. TheDivision may inspect the pertinent books, records, letters, and contracts of alicensee relating to any written complaint made to the Division against thelicensee. (1955,c. 1243, s. 13; 1975, c. 716, s. 5; 1995, c. 163, s. 5; 2007‑481, s. 3.)
