§23‑44.  Powers of trustees hereunder.

Any trustee appointed underthe last four articles of this chapter, as therein contemplated, is herebydeclared a trustee of the estate of the debtor, in respect to whose propertysuch trustee is appointed for the benefit of creditors, and is invested fromthe time of appointment with all the powers and authority, and subject to thecontrol, obligations and responsibilities prescribed by law in relation topersonal representatives over the estates of deceased persons; but all debtsshall be paid by the trustees pro rata.
