§ 25-7-404. No liability for good-faith delivery pursuant to document of title.

§ 25‑7‑404.  Noliability for good‑faith delivery pursuant to document of title.

A bailee that in good faithhas received goods and delivered or otherwise disposed of the goods accordingto the terms of a document of title or pursuant to this Article is not liablefor the goods even if:

(1)        The person from whomthe bailee received the goods did not have authority to procure the document orto dispose of the goods; or

(2)        The person to whomthe bailee delivered the goods did not have authority to receive the goods. (1917, c. 37, s. 10; 1919, c.65, s. 10; C.S., ss. 292, 4050; 1965, c. 700, s. 1; 2006‑112, s. 25.)
