§31‑22. Certified copy of will proved in another state or country.
When a will, made by a citizenof this State, is proved and allowed in some other state or country, and theoriginal will cannot be removed from its place of legal deposit in such other stateor country, for probate in this State, the clerk of the superior court of thecounty where the testator had his last usual residence or has any property,upon a duly certified copy or exemplification of such will being exhibited tohim for probate, shall take every order and proceeding for proving, allowingand recording such copy as by law might be taken upon the production of theoriginal.
