§32A‑31. Extent and limitations of authority.
(a) A custodial parentof a minor child, pursuant to an authorization to consent to health care forminor, may grant an agent full power and authority to consent to and authorizehealth care for the minor child to the same extent that a custodial parentcould give such consent and authorization.
(b) An authorization toconsent to health care for minor may contain, and the authority of the agentdesignated shall be subject to, any specific limitations or restrictions as thecustodial parent deems appropriate.
(c) A custodial parentmay not, pursuant to an authorization to consent to health care for minor,authorize an agent to consent to the withholding or withdrawal of lifesustaining procedures. (1993, c. 150, s. 1.)
