§ 47‑46.2. Certificateof satisfaction of deed of trust, mortgage, or other instrument.
No particular phrasing isrequired for a certification of satisfaction pursuant to G.S. 45‑37(a)(6)as it was in effect prior to October 1, 2005, or for a satisfaction of asecurity instrument under G.S. 45‑36.10. The following form, whenproperly completed, is sufficient to satisfy the requirements (i) for acertificate of satisfaction under G.S. 45‑37(a)(6) as it was in effectprior to October 1, 2005, and (ii) for a satisfaction of a security instrumentunder G.S. 45‑36.10 when signed and acknowledged by the secured creditor:

I, ____________ (name of ownerof the note or other indebtedness secured by the deed of trust or mortgage),certify that I am the owner of the indebtedness secured by the hereafterdescribed deed of trust or mortgage and that the debt or other obligation inthe amount of __________ secured by the (deed of trust)(mortgage)(other instrument)executed by ____________ (grantor)(mortgagor),
