§47‑78. Acknowledgment by resident taken out‑of‑state.
When prior to the ninth day ofMarch, 1895, a deed or mortgage executed by a resident of this State has beenproved or acknowledged by the maker thereof before a notary public of any otherstate of the United States, and has been ordered to be registered by the clerkof the superior court of the county in which the land conveyed is situated, andsaid deed or mortgage has been registered, such registration is valid.
