§ 51-19. Penalty for failure to record.

§51‑19.  Penalty for failure to record.

Any register of deeds whofails to record, in the manner above prescribed, the substance of any marriagelicense issued by him, or who fails to record, in the manner above prescribed,the substance  of any return made thereon, within 10 days after such returnmade, shall forfeit and pay two hundred dollars ($200.00) to any person whosues for the same.
