§ 53‑208.9.  Fees.

(a)        Investigation andLicense Fees. – Each application for a license shall be accompanied by anonrefundable investigation fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00), togetherwith the initial license fee of one thousand dollars ($1,000) plus ten dollars($10.00) per location within this State at which a money transmission businessis to be conducted by the applicant or an authorized delegate.

(b)        Annual License Fee.– On or before December 31 of each year, each licensee under this Article shallpay to the Commissioner a license fee in the amount of one thousand dollars($1,000) plus ten dollars ($10.00) per location in this State at which thelicensee or an authorized delegate is conducting a money transmitter business.

(c)        Location Fee. – Notwithstandingthe number of locations within this State at which a licensee or authorizeddelegate conducts a money transmitter business, the per location fee providedin subsections (a) and (b) of this section shall not exceed five thousanddollars ($5,000) per licensee per year. The per year location fee shall bebased on the number of locations set forth in the annual report required byG.S. 53‑208.11. (2001‑443, s. 2.)
