§53‑224.19.  Interstate merger transactions and branching permitted.

One or more North Carolinabanks may enter into an interstate merger transaction with one or more out‑of‑statebanks under this Article, and an out‑of‑state bank resulting fromsuch an interstate merger transaction may maintain and operate the branches inNorth Carolina of a merged North Carolina bank provided that the conditions andfiling requirements of this Article are met.
