§ 53‑96.1. Salaries,promotions, and leave of employees of the Office of the Commissioner of Banks.
(a) Repealed by SessionLaws 2007‑484, s. 9(a), effective August 30, 2007.
(b) The exemptions toChapter 126 of the General Statutes authorized by G.S. 126‑5(c11) for theOffice of the Commissioner of Banks and its employees shall be used to developorganizational classification and compensation innovations that will result inthe enhanced efficiency of operations. The Office of State Personnel shallassist the Commissioner of Banks in the development and implementation of anorganizational structure and human resources programs that make the mostappropriate use of the exemptions, including (i) a system of job categories ordescriptions tailored to the agency's needs; (ii) policies regarding paid timeoff for agency personnel and the voluntary sharing of such time off; and (iii)a system of uniform performance assessments for agency personnel tailored tothe agency's needs. The Commissioner of Banks may, under the supervision of theOffice of State Personnel, develop and implement organizational classificationand compensation innovations having the potential to benefit all Stateagencies.
