§ 54B-136. Authority of power of attorney.

§54B‑136.  Authority of power of attorney.

An association may continue torecognize the authority of an individual holding a power of attorney in writingto manage or to make withdrawals either in whole or in part from thewithdrawable account of a customer or member until it receives written oractual notice of death or of adjudication of incompetency of such member orrevocation of the authority of such individual holding such power of attorney.Payment by the association to an individual holding a power of attorney priorto receipt of such notice shall be a total discharge of the association'sobligation as to the amount so paid.
