§ 54C-174. Authority of power of attorney.

§54C‑174.  Authority of power of attorney.

A savings bank may continue torecognize the authority of an individual holding a power of attorney in writingto manage or to make withdrawals, either in whole or in part, from the depositaccount of a customer or member until the savings bank receives written oractual notice of death or of adjudication of incompetency of the member orrevocation of the authority of the individual holding the power of attorney. Payment by the savings bank to an individual holding a power of attorney beforereceipt of the notice is a total discharge of the savings bank's obligation asto the amount so paid.
