§58‑24‑165.  Unfair methods of competition and unfair and deceptiveacts and practices.

Every society authorized to dobusiness in this State shall be subject to the provisions of Article 63 of thisChapter relating to unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive actsor practices; provided, however, that nothing in such provisions shall beconstrued as applying to or affecting the right of any society to determine itseligibility requirements for membership, or be construed as applying to or affectingthe offering of benefits exclusively to members or persons eligible formembership in the society by a subsidiary corporation or affiliatedorganization of the society.
