§58‑71‑125.  Persons eligible as runners; bail bondsmen to annuallyreport runners; notices of appointments and terminations; informationconfidential.

Every person duly licensed asa bail bondsman may appoint as runner any person who has been issued runner'slicense. Each bail bondsman must, on or before July 1 of each year, furnish tothe Commissioner a list of all runners appointed by him. Each such bailbondsman who shall, subsequent to the filing of this list, appoint additionalpersons as runners shall file written notice with the Commissioner of suchappointment.

A bail bondsman terminatingthe appointment of a runner shall file written notice thereof with theCommissioner, together with a statement that he has given or mailed notice tothe runner. Such notice filed with the Commissioner shall state the reasons, ifany, for such termination. Information so furnished the Commissioner shall beprivileged and shall not be used as evidence in any action against the bailbondsman. (1963, c. 1225, s. 26; 1975, c. 619, s. 1.)
