§ 66-360. Service to public building.

§ 66‑360.  Service topublic building.

At the written request of acounty or city, a cable service provider operating under a State‑issuedfranchise must provide cable service without charge to a public buildinglocated within 125 feet of the provider's cable system. The required service isthe basic, or lowest‑priced, service the provider offers to customers.The terms and conditions that apply to service provided to a residential retailcustomer apply to the service provided to the public building. Only one serviceoutlet is required for a building. The cable service provider is not requiredto provide inside wiring and is not required to provide service that conflictswith restrictions that apply in a program licensing agreement or anothercontract. A public building is a building used as a public school, a charterschool, a county or city library, or a function of the county or city. (2006‑151, s. 1.)
