§70‑19.  Cooperation with private individuals.

The Department of CulturalResources shall take any action  necessary, consistent with the purposes ofthis Article, to foster and improve the communication, cooperation, andexchange of information between:

(1)        Private individualshaving collections of archaeological resources and data which were obtainedthrough legal means, and

(2)        Professionalarchaeologists and associations of professional  archaeologists concerned withthe archaeological resources of North Carolina and of the United States. (1981,c. 904, s. 2.)
