§ 75A-5.1. Commercial fishing vessels; renewal of identification number.

§ 75A‑5.1.  Commercialfishing vessels; renewal of identification number.

(a)        The owner of anycommercial fishing vessel that is registered under the provisions of G.S. 113‑168.6may renew the certificate of number of the vessel free of charge for a one‑yearperiod when the owner has complied with all of the conditions of this section.

(b)        As used in thissection, "commercial fishing vessel" is a vessel used in a commercialfishing operation, as defined in G.S. 113‑168.

(c)        In order to beentitled to renewal of certificate of number under the provisions of thissection, the owner of the vessel shall submit both of the following to theCommission:

(1)        The regularapplication for renewal of the certificate of number of the vessel, as providedby G.S. 75A‑5.

(2)        Satisfactory proofthat the vessel owner possesses a valid commercial fishing vessel registration.

(3)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2006‑185, s. 1.

(d)        Any person whowillfully gives false information upon an application or statement required bythis section or who falsifies any certificate of number fee receipt required bythis section is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
