§76‑42. Lumbermen to remove obstructions in Albemarle Sound.
If any lumberman shall fail toremove all obstructions placed by him in the waters of Albemarle Sound and itstributaries, as soon as practicable, after they have ceased to use them for thepurpose for which they were placed in said waters, from all places where thewater is not less than two feet deep, and also from all landing places on bothsides, for the space of 60 feet from the shore outward, he shall be guilty of aClass 3 misdemeanor, and only fined not less than one dollar ($1.00) nor morethan fifty dollars ($50.00), at the discretion of the court.
