§ 77‑116.  Compensationand expenses of members of the commissions.

(a)        Members of thecommissions who are appointed from or reside in North Carolina shall receive nosalary for their service on the commissions but may be paid, within availableresources, per diem, subsistence, and travel expenses as follows:

(1)        Members of thecommissions who are members of the General Assembly at the rate established inG.S. 120‑3.1.

(2)        Members of thecommissions who are officials or employees of the State or of local governmentagencies at the rate established in G.S. 138‑6.

(3)        All other members ofthe commissions at the rate established in G.S. 138‑5.

(b)        Members of thecommissions who are appointed from or reside in South Carolina shall becompensated as provided by the General Assembly of South Carolina.

(c)        All expenses shallbe paid from funds appropriated or otherwise available to the commissions. (2004‑83, s. 1.)
